Description. Three meetings (each of 2 lessons) to discover the Italian opera. During every meeting we analyze some of the major works of Italian authors, to begin with Rossini and get to Puccini. The lessons are structured as listening of opera pieces: a brief introduction of the author and his work, listening and text analysis. It is also paid special attention to the interpretations, analyzing screenings of different video representations.

Objectives. The lessons are aimed to introduce you to the opera through both musical and linguistic listening guide.

Who it's for. The course is open to anyone willing to learn about the world of opera through immersion in the atmosphere of this art form. It is not dedicated to specialists, and the only requirement is Italian language knowledge of at least A2 / B1 level.
